Orange County Engineering Schools & Programs

Six undergraduate engineering majors and active student organizations are two of the draws at California State University at Fullerton. A close relationship with corporate and governmental entities enhances professional training at the University of California-Irvine, which boasts it is one of the fastest growing engineering programs in the country.

Engineering is projected to be one of Orange County's 10 fastest growing industries through 2008, according a report from the California Employment Development Department. With an estimated increase of more than 10,000 jobs, the engineering field is expected to multiply by nearly 25 percent. Within the entire field, computer software engineers are projected to have the biggest boost, increasing 50.3 percent a net increase of more than 3,000 jobs.
