The number of jobs available in healthcare support occupations in Orange County is forecast to grow by 31% through 2012, including increases of 25% for pharmacy aides, 40% for physical therapy aides, and 30% for massage therapists. Health-diagnosing and –treating practitioners can expect an increase of 23%, including growth of 36% for physician assistants, 27% of physical therapists, 35% for respiratory therapists and 33% for occupational therapists. Health technologists and technicians can expect overall growth of 21%, with increases of 24% for dental hygienists, 36% for medical records and health information technicians, and 33% for cardiovascular technologists and technicians.
